We’ve established the ‘OHANA FUND to be a conduit of community support. Limited reimbursement through insurance can make the cost of midwifery care prohibitive for many families. Contributing to this fund supports families who otherwise could not afford this care. The ‘Ohana Fund supplements payment plans while our practice works with insurance companies for reimbursement.
Our midwives are also actively engaged in advocacy to expand access to midwifery care which includes improved reimbursement. We work to educate our communities about the value of our evidence-based, low-intervention approach and our cultivated collaborative relationships for continuity of care.
